Pakistan remembers its heroes, give special thanksgiving day ceremony “Youm-e-Tashakur”
Islamabad witnessed a powerful display of unity and gratitude as the nation came together for a special Thanksgiving Day ceremony, celebrating a historic victory in the fight for justice. Held at the heart of the capital, the event brought together top civil and military leadership, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the chief guest.
The ceremony began with a soulful recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. A decorated contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor, symbolizing the strength and pride of the armed forces. Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, along with the heads of the navy and air force, also attended the event.
Fateha was offered for the brave martyrs who laid down their lives in the Battle of Haq and Operation Bunyan Marsaw — two crucial moments in Pakistan’s recent history. The sacrifices of these heroes were remembered with deep respect and emotion.
Federal ministers, cabinet members, and other dignitaries also participated in the event, which served not only as a celebration of victory but also as a moment to reflect on the resilience, unity, and unwavering spirit of the Pakistani people.
